Located in West Suffolk’s Upper Stour Valley, the Clare Bowls Club (CBC) welcomes beginners and experienced players to its outdoor flat-green lawn bowls arena (with 4 rinks); within the grounds of the Clare Social Club and with ample parking nearby.
Between April to September roll-up sessions are usually held on a Wednesday evening, from 6.00pm onwards for informal, casual, or general practice. Additional sessions can be arranged for general play (e.g., Sunday Fundays), or to prepare for matches and competitions in the local Steeple Bumpstead Bowls League (SBBL).
CBC currently has about 30 members who regularly enjoy lawn bowls in a friendly environment.
New players / prospective members without their own set of bowls have access to the club's spare bowl sets when attending roll-up sessions.
