Clare Bowls Club (CBC) is a private members' club with around 30+ current members, enjoying Flat-Green Bowls as a social and recreational activity.
Some members also represent the club in inter-club matches within the Steeple Bumpstead Bowls League (SBBL).
The club's Bowling Green is for the exclusive use of paid-up Bowls Club members and their guests.
CBC members pay two subscriptions on an annual basis. CBC members are also members of Clare Social Club; enabling Bowls Club members to use Social Club facilities and participate in Social Club events.

Members' have a collective responsibility for ensuring maintenance of the Green (playing area), its immediate surroundings and also, the buildings used as a club house or for equipment storage.
Routine maintenance requirements are influenced by factors, such as, state-of-repair, weather, roll-up and league fixture demands.
Routine maintenance is usually undertaken at least weekly during the period April to September (e.g., grass-cutting, rink-marking, ditch-mat cleaning, and ensuring general tidyness of the playing area).
Additional maintenance may be required for one-off or special events hosted during the season (e.g., Open Days, etc.).
In addition to Bowls Club maintenance, Bowls Club members' are asked to support the Social Club's endeavours to maintain its club-house and local environment in good order.
