"Roll-up" generally refers to a casual, non-competitive practice session or friendly game, where Bowls Club members' (and prospective Bowls Club members) simply show up at a scheduled time, without any advance booking.
Between April to September a general roll-up session is usually held on Wednesday evenings, from 6.00pm onwards. for informal, casual, or general practice - Some members may arrive earlier if they choose to do so.
Members, guests or prospective members without their own set of Bowls may be able to use a spare set provided by the club - subject to availability.
Playing partners/teams are usually drawn randomly from whoever is present, at 6.00pm or when they arrive.
Play continues until those present have had enough, or until diminishing light or adverse weather dictates otherwise.
